Where,
where do you want to
take me?
Into the dark side
of the big cloud?
Or into the bright light
coming from a crack
in the sky?
The only way I know
is
by
taking my chances
at the very moment
of
an
annotated
silence.

Now, paddling my own canoe down the river,
I reflect on all recent Tallulah Falls I stumbled upon,
that are caring for my long, long journey,
in this, my short cycle of existence.
And I thank them all with a smile, in case I missed any.
My first kiss,
after a long, long time,
was hand
delivered.
And I felt a terrifying
happiness.
Where were words?
There were none.
Now I know.
Prisoner of my own
encrypted fears,
I consistently played
hide and seek
with
myself.
Until I stepped out
and
authenticity
stepped in
covering
a kiss with
breadcrumbs
made out of
my shyness
and
my own fears.
Now I know
what to ask
to
the Universe.
… and wood will become
ash,
in this inextinguishable
fire
born of ancestral
desire.
Gazing at the incandescent,
I rest.
Walking towards winter,
farther from the sun.
Nature is running naked.
Pretending,
just pretending,
nobody’s seen her.
Subtle as she is,
she just drops
a few
red leaves.

Let unique moments embrace you,
but don’t try to own them.
They freely come with the dawn,
they must leave at dusk;
Learn and grow from them
and, like music, share them with the wind.
